PLANNING

The top note introduces us to the scent as the first impression: before you watch a movie, you watch a trailer, read a blurb, and decide whether or not it’s for you.

At Heartwood Wild, we meet you with curiosity, immediately seek your narrative, find a way to visual storytelling, create immediate connection with you, and determine whether adventure media is for you.

To your life event, there is a core. Documentaries examine a person, event, or subject comprehensive and authentically. You are the creator: we are just magnifying and capturing a narrative that already exists within you, your relationships, and your life.

  • We seek this narrative through a longer follow-up consultation once you have committed to a plan with us.

  • Day of shoot, we ask questions and give prompts that facilitate and draw out the “heart” in the moment.

  • We check in on your needs, go with the flow, adjust hiking and logistics so all you need to worry about is the present.

(2) HEART note

SHOOTING

This is the middle note that serves as the “soul” of the scent. It’s the personality and identity of the perfume that unearths after the short-lasting top note passes. This is where the magic happens.

(3) base note

This is the longest-lasting note of the perfume, lasting up to the full 24 hours. They create the foundation and carry throughout time and circumstance.

The final product will be in your possession forever. You own it. You can re-experience and relive it whenever you want. Your narratives in life may change, but the beauty of the narrative in your photos and videos stands the test of time.

  • For every hour we spend shooting, we invest 4–5 times that amount of time in intentional editing.

  • We provide anywhere between 50-800 photos, and 1-15 minute videos, depending on your package.
