During the consultation, we’ll talk about dietary preferences and menu options—whether it be trail mix or a meal cooked over the fire.
Food and nutrition
Safety and structure will foster space for art. At least one of our media team or guides will have an industry-standard certification for assessing, treating, and managing medical emergencies if any were to occur on a trip.

A gear list and day-of inventory
We’ll send you out a file with all the gear recommended for the trip, and give recommendations on what to bring and wear for each season, and do an inventory to make sure you have all the gear you need to stay comfortable and safe day-of.

Other fees & considerations
2nd shooters add diversity to the albums and the security of extra footage. Our photography 2nd shooter pricing for each package is as follows:
Trailhead Package (1-hour): $100 USD
Leave a Trace Package (half-day): $250 USD
Cowboy Camping (overnight): $400 USD
We are currently not offering videography 2nd shooters.
2nd shooter fees
We cover for individuals and couples, but if there are kids, guests, friends, other family members, we will charge an extra fee to cover their food, needs, and include them in the package. These fees only apply to sessions longer than 1 hour. Fees are as follows per person:
Leave a Trace Package (half-day): $50 USD per individual
Cowboy Camping (overnight): $100 USD per individual

Heartwood Wild is based in Asheville, North Carolina and serves within a 50-mile radius. Anything beyond that point, we will ask to be covered in gas or flight tickets.
